In recent times, there has been abundant public outcry regarding the international migration crisis which affects a large number of Nigerians and their families back home. Wale Adenuga Productions has once again contributed its quota to increasing the awareness and providing solutions by re-airing the award-winning Superstory season titled Itohan: A Call to Action.

According to the producer, Wale Adenuga Jnr., “Since we produced and first aired Itohan: A Call to Action years ago, the story has gone on to gain recognition from several Federal and State MDAs, NGOs and has international awards. This recent public outcry regarding Human Trafficking, Slavery and Forced Prostitution has resulted in overwhelming requests from viewers for us to air the story again as the lessons in it directly address the relevant issues and provide solutions for all stakeholders. We would also be giving more insight as we discuss each episode with viewers during our interactive Superstory Plus live viewer-feedback TV Show.”

Itohan: A Call to Action primarily revolves around a young lady, Itohan, who is traveling to Europe through an illegal route, with genuine aspirations to be signed on as footballer in an European Club, but is being deceived by a gang of men who intend to sell her and some other young ladies to a notorious prostitution ring once they get there.

The story is based on real life events and contains several elements of action, romance, comedy, betrayal and suspense; starring a wide range of popular artistes including Tamara Eteimo, Yemi Solade, Mary Lazarus, Kelechi Udegbe, Racheal Oniga, Charles Okocha, Patience Oseni, Jide Alabi, Nobert Young, Gloria Young, Hakeem Rahman, Femi Durojaiye, Chidex Brown, Ekemini Nankere, Dayo Davies and others.

FORMER EFCC TWITTER HANDLER JOINS UNION BANK

Former EFCC Twitter Handler, F. Shaw has announced his new employment with the Union Bank of Nigeria.

 

Many Nigerians who are conversant with the anti-corruption body’s smart-timely-satirical tweets and replies when F.Shaw was still in their employment see this move as a smart one on the part of Union Bank especially in its celebration of her 100 years of existence.

Although the management of the financial institution has not released a statement on this yet, it has reposted #TheHandler’s announcement.

F.Shaw will be handling the bank’s twitter account, his other post reads.

A non-governmental organization committed to actively raising the quality of life for children, Iyaniwura Children Care Foundation (ICCF) recently held her 4^th Annual Children’s Day Celebration. This year’s celebration tagged ‘Festival of Childhood’ held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

In attendance were some selected schools/institutions in Lagos State including Lagos State Children’s Centre, Children Correctional Centre, Yaba Model School, Down Syndrome Foundation, Pacelli School of the Blind, Mushin Public Primary School, Modupe Memorial amongst others.

Performances ranged from Song, Choreography, Drama, Poetry, Story Telling, Dance to Public Speaking. 

 

 

 

 

According to the Project Director, Mrs. Olajumoke Otitoloju, ICCF maintains that Children are natural artists; they sing, act, play, draw, run, write and instead of believing that we (adults) ought to instruct them all the way, we should be open enough to learn from them and be inspired to work alongside. 

The celebration had in attendance; a former minister, Hon. BELLEABEAU ‘TROPICAL FEST’ IS HERE

Something beautiful that has been on for a while now; it’s BELLEABEAU - the biggest and most beautiful lifestyle exhibition happening in Lagos, recall the URBAN SAFARI edition that sparked light in people’s hearts. 

  

The atmosphere was electric and the air was thick with love –love for the Fashion, Makeup, Gele and the Kiddie’s Runway as well as the Food.  The URBAN SAFARI was the first indoor shopping experience that got a lot of people talking, from the concept of the event, to the products sold by vendors, Games, the DJ was super lit, the musical performances were everything that could make your night.
 It was a well-attended event with over a thousand guests and over 40 vendors. With attendies’ bellies full of yummy grills, healthy smoothies, fresh palm wine and a couple of mocktails and cocktails, the show kicked off with makeup runway followed by a musical performance.
The Art exhibition was nothing short of magical with loads of talented artists showcasing their finest pieces, while there was live body painting.  
Now the much talked about Lifestyle Concourse BELLEABEAU will be back July 2nd themed TROPICAL FEST; with over 50 vendors and engaging activities for customers.

Nnenna & Friends Children’s Day Show held on the 27^th of May at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos was indeed a huge success.
