PHOTOS: IYANIWURA CHILDREN CARE FOUNDATION HOLDS 4TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION

A non-governmental organization committed to actively raising the quality of life for children, Iyaniwura Children Care Foundation (ICCF) recently held her 4th Annual Children’s Day Celebration. This year’s celebration tagged ‘Festival of Childhood’ held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
In attendance were some selected schools/institutions in Lagos State including Lagos State Children’s Centre, Children Correctional Centre, Yaba Model School, Down Syndrome Foundation, Pacelli School of the Blind, Mushin Public Primary School, Modupe Memorial amongst others.
Performances ranged from Song, Choreography, Drama, Poetry, Story Telling, Dance to Public Speaking. 
 
 
 
 

According to the Project Director, Mrs. Olajumoke Otitoloju, ICCF maintains that Children are natural artists; they sing, act, play, draw, run, write and instead of believing that we (adults) ought to instruct them all the way, we should be open enough to learn from them and be inspired to work alongside. 
The celebration had in attendance; a former minister, Hon. Ademola Seriki, top executives and representatives from Lagos State Government, Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission, Deji Tinubu, Barrister Bankole Animashaun, Former Deputy Governor, Femi Pedro, Lawmaker, LSHA, Hon. Segun Olulade, Olayinka Ademo (Nnenna), face of the Nnenna & Friends Brand, Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Welfare & Development, Mrs. Joyce Onafowokan, Director of Social Welfare & Development, Mrs Latinwo, Representatives from the State’s Basic Education Board, Ministry of Arts & Tourism.

BELLEABEAU ‘TROPICAL FEST’ IS HERE

Something beautiful that has been on for a while now; it’s BELLEABEAU - the biggest and most beautiful lifestyle exhibition happening in Lagos, recall the URBAN SAFARI edition that sparked light in people’s hearts. 
  
The atmosphere was electric and the air was thick with love –love for the Fashion, Makeup, Gele and the Kiddie’s Runway as well as the Food.  The URBAN SAFARI was the first indoor shopping experience that got a lot of people talking, from the concept of the event, to the products sold by vendors, Games, the DJ was super lit, the musical performances were everything that could make your night.
 It was a well-attended event with over a thousand guests and over 40 vendors. With attendies’ bellies full of yummy grills, healthy smoothies, fresh palm wine and a couple of mocktails and cocktails, the show kicked off with makeup runway followed by a musical performance.
The Art exhibition was nothing short of magical with loads of talented artists showcasing their finest pieces, while there was live body painting.  
Now the much talked about Lifestyle Concourse BELLEABEAU will be back July 2nd themed TROPICAL FEST; with over 50 vendors and engaging activities for customers.

Nnenna & Friends Children’s Day Show held on the 27th of May at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos was indeed a huge success. With over 3,000 attendees who had lots of fun and went home with lots of gifts, the organisers are full of appreciation to the sponsors of the event; MTN, Indomie, McVities, Rite Foods, So Yummy, Viju Drink, Peak Chocolate, Beloxxi, Big Cola, Nnenna & Friends Cartoon Magazine and wapTV. 
Wave-making Artistes like Sugarboy, Nev Harrison, SLK aka Boda Wasiu, PEFTI Band and a host of others spiced up the event with sterling performances. Papa Ajasco & Company also did not relent in their usual hilarious stage drama.
