Like so many, she felt condemned and used. Life wasn’t worth it anymore. Better dead than living. Her boyfriend had gotten married last Saturday. She was forced to attend for fear of being labeled a loser; and like a wounded lion, she left the venue with a forced smile. The tears didn’t stop all through the journey home. Suddenly, her world became standstill.
She had given the relationship her all but in the end …
This was not the first. Kolade did the same, Charles, Femi, Ebuka.
Perhaps, her relationships with these four were not meant to be. How about
Michael? She thought they had a perfect relationship; the vibes, display of
affection etc all felt good and the sacrifices…? But in the end …
How could he? Where would she start from? Why would God allow this
to happen to her? She wanted answers!
She was going through a trying time …
Are you facing a similar situation or perhaps a different
unpleasant circumstance because what you have hoped and lived for didn’t work
as planned? Because of this, you would rather die or disappear from the surface
of the earth.
Alone in her thoughts and world; storms don’t last forever. Yes,
she heard it clearly, STORMS DON’T LAST FOREVER.
Dearest, the good news is that there is light at the end of the
tunnel. The troubles, tribulations, hard times will pass.
She is a Christian, why should she be going through this at all?
Why would God allow such to happen to his children?
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither
are your ways my ways, says the Lord” - Isaiah
558
Many Christians think that based on their status they are exempted
from the vicissitudes of life. The answer is a NO. Even Christ, while he fasted
and prayed, he was tempted by the devil.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but
the
Lord delivereth him out of them all” - Psalm 3419
Stop listening to the voices condemning you. Don’t beat yourself
up over your failures. Do not dwell too much on the unpleasant times. It will
only prevent you from standing up again.
“When one door closes, another opens, but we
often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see
the one which opened for us”
- Alexander Graham Bell
“For I know the plans I have for you, says the
Lord, plans for good
and not for evil, to give you a future and a
hope” - Jeremiah 2911
Then, why should these be happening?
God will and can grant your heart desires (Psalm 14516),
provided you walk in His ways and as long as it is in His will for your life.
He sometimes withholds it; where you may miss something better He has planned
for you.
During these times, the Lord allows you to have trials, not for
you to fall/fail but to make you stronger.
He also does this to cut away your unfruitfulness (John 152).
Her relationship with Michael wasn’t going to help fulfill God’s plan for her
life. Their romance had taken over God’s Purpose.
Like Hannah, Sarah, Elizabeth and Ruth, God wants to make you a
better and useful vessel. Whatever you are going through or have gone through,
come-on;
(1) stand up, dust yourself down and get your feet back on the
ground,
Wait a minute!
(2) Hold your head high, pick the lessons there-in and move on.
“God brings men into deep waters, not to drown
them but to cleanse them”
– John Aughey Aniunoh

“…GO AND SIN NO MORE”.
The world awaits you. Do not disappoint heaven.

Amazing Grace of God will rise again and fulfill destiny.
