PEFTI ARTS FESTIVAL 2016 EVENT RECAP

 

The First Edition of the PEFTI Arts Festival, organised by PEFTI Film Institute, was a resonant success.

The week-long fiesta commenced on August 22, with a two-day Film Festival; where over 50 Short Student Films of diverse genres were screened. The entries, based on the “Ecology” theme, told compelling stories and facts on how we can treat our environment better. 

 

On the 3^rd day, Mr Forster Ojehonmon, National Secretary of the Association of Movie Producers (A.M.P.), gave an enlightening lecture titled “Accessing Film Funds, Locally and Internationally” to over 1,200 new and aspiring filmmakers.  

PEFTI FILM INSTITUTE ANNOUNCES ARTS FESTIVAL

PEFTI Film Institute has announced the inaugural edition of PEFTI Arts Festival, scheduled to hold from 22^nd – 27^th August, 2016.

The week-long fiesta will showcase amazing talents and skills of PEFTI Students and Graduates in Acting for Screen & Stage, Music, Cinematography, Music Production, Directing, Presentation and other fields. The event would be attended by several celebrities and notable giants of the Film and Music industries.

 According to Abiola Adenuga, MD of PEFTI, “The PEFTI Arts Festival kicks off with Screening Student Films centered on Ecological concerns, from Monday, August 22^nd to Tuesday, August 23^rd. A Workshop for film enthusiasts comes up the next day.

On Friday 26^th, the electrifying Obaseki’s play - IDIA, will be performed.

The climax of the festival is on Saturday 27^th August; with a Music Concert and Awards Night, which includes the launch of PEFTI Band”.

Venue: PEFTI Campus; 5 Joy Avenue, Ajao Estate, off International Airport Road, Isolo, Lagos.
