Every August 12 is the United Nations International Youth Day.
In commemoration of the
day and with special focus on this year’s theme - “The Road to 2030:
Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Consumption and Production”, RISE Networks; one of
Nigeria’s leading social enterprise on Youth in Education, Entrepreneurship and
Public Service in partnership with the UN Office in Nigeria is organizing a
programme that will engender robust conversations with thought leaders and professionals
from various alternative industries to the monolithic Oil Economy and practical
insights on how the successor generation of Nigeria will survive in the post
oil era by focusing on acquiring major skills with or without formal education
with Speakers providing perspectives for an all- inclusive future.
There will be focus on
the pivotal directions Nigerian youths are taking
(and should be taking) towards ending poverty and ensuring sustainable development.
