Properties worth hundreds of thousands of
naira were destroyed in a fire incident at No. 1 Good Samaritan Street, Uselu,
Benin City, yesterday.
While two children were rescued from the
affected storey building, the men of the Edo State Fire Service battled to
contain the fire which had already destroyed the upper floor of the
building. It was gathered that tenants of the affected building were not
at home when the fire began.
