In another development, the Governorship candidate of the Ali Modu Sheriff-Faction of PDP, Hon. Matthew Iduoriyemkemwen has insisted he is the party's authentic candidate in the September 10 Governorship election.
Iduoriyemkemwen had audience with journalists where he said his position was based on the court ruling which suspended the planned National Convention of the Party scheduled for today in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Reports from omojuwa.com say armed mobile policemen have taken over Shark Stadium, venue of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convention, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Security men are all over Moscow Road, where the stadium is located. Vehicles are not allowed to enter the street, and those who decide to walk are being questioned.
