The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State has
commiserated with the family of late elder statesman, Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo
Ogbemudia.
The delegation was led by the party's former BOT Chairman and
former Works Minister Chief Tony Anenih, the Esama of Benin, Sir Chief Dr.
Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion and leaders of the PDP at various
levels.
Commiserating with family of the late elder statesman on behalf of
leadership of the PDP in Edo State, Chief Tony Anenih said many of the party leaders
on the condolence visit who included the Esama of Benin, Edo State
Governorship candidate in the 2016 governorship election Pastor Osagie
Ize-Iyamu and others had worked with late Dr. Ogbemudia at different levels and
supported him as the elected governor of old Bendel State.
He encouraged the wives and children of the late two-time governor
of old Midwest region to work together and maintain his legacies.
Appreciating the visit on behalf of the Ogbemudia family, eldest
son Samuel Ogbemudia Junior described Chief Tony Anenih, the Esama of Benin,
Sir Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion and his late father as brothers and
thanked them for their show of love and concern for their late father especially
throughout the period of his sickness.
